This article was an achievement for me. The company I was working with had been trying to get feature articles into the Welding Journal for some time but things hadn’t worked out. When we submitted the final draft we were very excited to hear that it was accepted. A short time later, we got the incredible news that it would be the cover article for the issue. It was an amazing feeling to be able to help my client go from unable to publish with this journal, to grabbing the cover spot. This article was certainly not my work alone, as it always takes a team to get through the publishing process. My thanks to all of the engineers and team members for help on this.
