“Brought Back to Life: The right tools retain the authenticity of treasured works.”  This article was fascinating to write. I was invited to the bowels of The Field Museum in Chicago to interview and observe the team responsible for restoring a set of bronze statues by Malvina Hoffman. I was inspired by Ms. Hoffman and her courage to chase her dreams in a time when women just didn’t do that. I was also impressed by the team and the portable, battery-powered welder that was used, AccuPocket by Fronius.

with gratitude

Writing is an exercise of creation, but publishing is one of vulnerability. I am profoundly grateful to my friends, family and fans for their support and feedback. I’m also grateful to the critics–you help me stay humble and strive for better work.
